Hi Keith. I totally agree with your comments about the online/pdf format has boxes that do not allow you to write reams and reams. That said have you seen the size of the ESA 50 booklet that is the same and not designed to allow one to say what they want to say. It should, in my opinion, be 1 page for each activity so the decision maker can build up a better picture.

Regarding the recorded delivery (if can afford) most definitely as 3 times DWP has lost my paperwork and each time they were sent recorded which when I informed them of such they soon found it. It's ridiculous in this day and age as recorded is as good as handing it to someone personaly, one would hope so beats me how they can lose it. Its disastrous and I feel for anyone sending something not recorded.

Ive also had letters saying that due to not receiving, benefits would stop immediatly and did but when finally got through and spoke and a bit of digging turmed out that they hadnt updated it on their systems. But hey ho its my fault??

It beats me that they are so clever in having 1 phone number for 2 million people in the country that are disabled and as for writing and going to a mail handling centre that just opens, scans onto a computer supposedly and accessed by your regional office (again supposebly) it gets looked at. The missing link is that no one is alerted to actulaly read it in the first place? So whats the point of writing?

Well you couldn't make this up.

After telling me I am entitled to the Severe Disability Premium, and that they will back date it, I check my bank to discover that the ESA payment that landed in my account this morning is missing the £124.90 Severe Disability Premium element.

It's likely that they just missed this pay run.

You were correct Gordon, the back payment hit my account last night and it also included the missing money from last week.

  			 				Hi All,

Was just looking at this topic the other day and remember thinking to myself that it was not far off being a year since I submitted my ESA50.

Well I have some news......

Today I cam home to find the dreaded brown envelope on my doormat.

I have been placed into the support group, without a medical, once again!

I can only put this success down to the help received from Benefits and Work, so I would like to extend my thanks to them and also to Gordon and the team for their tireless work helping others on the forum.

Thanks once again.

All the best,

Keith
