I used your excellent guide to PIP to apply for a transfer to PIP from DLA.
Today I received the dreaded brown envelope, seven weeks after my PIP assessment. It's a good outcome for me, as I will receive the same money as I did for DLA, till March 2020. However, for DLA I was awarded lower rate care and higher rate mobility. My daily life is now more difficult than it was when I claimed DLA, as I have recently been diagnosed with late onset type 1 diabetes. Now I am getting standard rate for both daily living and mobility as I have scored 10 points for care and the same for mobility.
My points are based very much on my fibromyalgia and the worsening arthritis in my hands.
I score no points for monitoring and managing type 1 diabetes or taking other medications, or for the psychological problems I have with travelling, although at the time of my claim (Dec 2016) I did think the DWP awarded points for these conditions.
In my heart I feel I should have been awarded at least 12 points for both daily liiving and for mobility, but the stress of waiting to know the outcome for the last five months has been very bad for my health and I will not be challenging the award. I am just very relieved that the money will be the same.

A restrained congratulations, well done.

You can request an MR up to 13 months after the Decision, but will need to provide Good Cause for it being late if it is submitted more than one month after it.
