Esa, mandatory reconsideration disallowed. Appealing. Sent fit note, copy of letter from tribunal service and letter requesting esa payment at assessment rate.
Today received letter saying I will be paid nothing until outcome of appeal.
No money since 8/3/17.
What do I do now.
Doctor has given me fit note for my MS.
how do I survive ????

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

What Decision are you appealing?

Were you found Fit for Work due to your not scoring the points needed for an award? Is this the second time in a row that this is happened?

Were you treated as being Fit for Work because you failed to return the ESA50 or failed to attend an assessment?

There are circumstances where the Assessment rate is not payable to a claimant during an appeal, if you can provide more information I may be able to tell you whether you should be receiving payments or not.

I had the assessment and score o points. I had the mandatory reconsideration and was again disallowed.
I was found fit for work as of 8/3/17.
I am appealing on 2 points. Getting around, I say 50m due to my MS, they say 200 m. And control of bowels.
In 2014, I was disallowed esa but allowed on reconsideration, that is the claim that was stopped on 8/3/17.
I wait any advice as I do not know what to do now.
No reason has been given for no payment pending Appeal
Many thanks

If you had an award prior to the Fit for Work Decision then you should be entitled to the Assessment rate.

I'm afraid you need to contact the DWP to find out their reasons for not paying you.

I have called them ever day since the letter. Whoever I spoke to said they would get someone to ring me back about the decision. I am still waiting 3 days later. Will try again today. Thank you so much for your advice.

Having rung the Dwp for the third time. I was again promised a call back which they did.
I was told that I had been on contribution based esa and that I had been in the support group. Contribution based esa is only payable for 365 days, unless you are in the support group, where it can last longer. When I failed my assessment, that claim stopped. Not once during any of my conversations did any one mention that little point.
Now I can no longer claim contribution based esa, so this morning the supervisor suggested that I claim income based esa. And she couldn't understand why I had not been told that before.

If I explain what has happened they will TRY and back date the income based esa.
So still no money at the moment but at least I know why.
Not sure if I will have to have another medical?

Please try and let your subscribers know this information, once you have checked for yourself. I can't be the only one that has fallen in to this problem.

Many thanks
