PIP Renewal was created by baz4449
My PIP expiry date is in 14 weeks time. I have not heard anything yet regarding renewal or re apply. Do I need to contact them or just wait and see. I don't want it to expire then they tell me I should have contacted them earlier.

Baz
Contact the PIP claim line immediately

Was your award decided by at an appeal? For some reason the DWP are treating a small number of claims as not requiring renewal and are leaving it to the claimant to do it themselves.
I have to warn you, I think you will struggle to complete a new claim in 14 weeks as there are delays in the assessment process. Your current award will stop as intended, even if you start a new claim.

Same for myself Baz
I completed telephone assessment on 13th June, still have not recieved PIP2
I have rang again and still not received. Abysmal procedure.
I have complained to PIP parlimentary Team.
I am still waiting for ATOS to respond to my complaint 2 years ago re face to face, SHAM!
I appealed and won , DWP decided not to take to Tribunal due to my appeal.
some things have not changed, IDS Oh my God!
I will lose my motability car for work, have to use Access to work, which will cost DWP.
Baz keep in touch read the forums, this is a brilliant site, Gordon is on the ball.
Regards

My award was a change from DLA to PIP after all the usual forms and Atos assessment. The DLA had a five year timescale but the change to PIP reduced this to Two years.

I would have expected the DWP to have contacted you a year before your claim ended to start a renewal, or at least 20 weeks before it's end.
However, as they did not all you can is start a new claim.

I have just phoned to check why I have had no notification regarding the expiry date of my PIP. They told me a letter was sent out dated the 22nd of this month ( last Thursday) telling me to contact the claim line to request putting in a new claim. When I asked why I did not receive a P2 form they said that they were making everyone reclaim. They advised not to wait for the letter to arrive but to contact the claim line straight away. I have just done this so now we begin all over again doing what we did three years ago, with forms,Atos meetings etc.
Keep you informed.
