I apologise if others have asked this already, but I am getting anxious because I haven't received the letter yet to apply to change from DLA to PIP? I live in the last area to be changed over but It is getting close to the September 2017 final date and I am worried but don't like to call them up. I had to ask for a copy of my DLA entitlement a few months ago (for a TFL exemption) and it was sent through confirming my entitlement as indefinite. My concern is that there will be a rush to get the final people through before the cutoff date, but with limited funds to be shared out, resulting in harsher assessments. Anyone know what will happen?
The deadline has already been moved to 2018, but we are barely 1/2 way through the available DLA claimants in the four years since PIP was introduced so even that seems ambitious.
To be clear, the PIP budget is not limited so there is no reason for the assessment process to become harsher.
