Trying to transfer from DLA to PIP. I have a PIP medical soon. I have looked at possible questions to try and prepare a bit. I live in a housing association flat on the first floor. I have to climb one flight of stairs to get to my flat, and the same down to get to my car. I have a raile but its not easy and adds to my exhaustion levels, pain etc. However, I have no alternative to get in and out of my home. I am on a council waiting list for a ground floor flat - but basically I know I am so far down the list that I will never get prioritised and I have no control over this.
My question is - I am concerned these living arrangements might be held against me in the medical/ The fact that I can get up and down these stairs - maybe twice a week to get out when I'm physically able to or simply have to regardless e.g. for PIP appointment- even though it causes me breathlessness, fatigue (and I have fallen down them twice in the last 18 months).
Thanks.
