At a home assessment are family allowed to speak at all ? When I was forgetting or getting very distressed, if hubby tried say something to prompt me of help she repeatedly said, (looking at me) im sorry but I have to hear it from you.
I put my head in my hands and cried just said I can't cope
I would certainly expect the assessor to want most of the information to be given by the claimant. However, I would also expect any companion to be allowed to prompt the claimant if needed and maybe to be asked if there is anything they would like to add at the end.
