Your working 25 hours a week prevents you claiming any mean tested benefits, if you reduced your hours to
less than 24 hours a week then you might be able to make a claim but I think your income would still prevent payment.
Has your husband been purchasing Class 2 Ni Contributions from his self-employment, if he has and he has 50 weeks of NICs in both the Tax Years 2014-15 and 2015-16 then he may be eligible for Contribution Based ESA which is not affected by your earnings or hours worked.
