My husband recently completed the forms to transfer from DLA to PIP. He received a letter giving him a home assessment this coming Friday. On returning home today there was a message on the answering machine cancelling the appointment. I phoned the Assessment Provider and was told a Health Professional had read his form and decided he could attend an assessment centre.
Some of the aids and appliances he uses are electronic and provided by the NHS. We cannot unplug them and take them with us as they may get damaged or broken. How can we prove he uses these machines?
He also sleeps on 5 pillows. How can we prove this?
We cannot carry everything he uses as an aid so how can we evidence them?

You don't need to take the aid or the pillows to the assessment, if he has stated that he needs to use them in his PIP2 then it should be accepted that he does.

To Show that he needs to use them he needs to explain the problems that he has / would have if he attempted to complete an activity without them. So as an example, if he has problems holding vegetables when preparing a meal, then he should explain what those problems are and why he has them and how a suitable aid overcomes those issues or does not as the case may be.
