hi I have recently been called in to attend an interview under caution & they are now saying I owe over £10,000. I had worked for 17 years paying all national insurance & tax. Then I became ill. I have 3 separate letters from the DWP from the start of my claim saying that I was on conts based ESA & in the support group, as I'd worked & paid the relevant conts. Now they are saying that I am also on income related which I never applied for. I was never notified or applied for income related ESA. Should I make an appeal?
I'm afraid as you have been invited to attend an IUC we cannot offer advice at this time.
This has now become a legal matter and it would be inappropriate for us or any other online forum to offer you advice. You need to get face to face advice from a Trained Advisor and you should consult a solicitor about the interview to understand your rights.
Please be very careful about supplying information about your claim as you may inadvertently include details that may hurt your case.
