ESA Decision was created by Lola
My husband ESA for went back on 24/7. Rang assessment centre on 5/9 for an update and they said they had sent his file back to the DOW on 1/9. They had advised them that no medical was required. We still haven't heard anything. Is this the norm? Thanks

I would expect ESA decisions to take 2-4 weeks from when the file is returned to DWP - so you are still within this time scale.
The good news is that you cannot be refused ESA without a face2face appointment!

Fingers crossed this may mean he remains in the support group, or at worst WRAG. Would you agree?

Decided to ring DWP this morning - husband has been placed in the support group for 2 years. Fantastic news! Thank you B&W for the ESA guide, a great help. Can you tell me what forms/reports I should ask for so I have a copy of them for next time, such as ESA85A (I think). They may also come in handy for his change over from DLA to PIP - expecting the form to come through any time now.

Chris
Terrific news, well done.
Ask for the assessment report (ESA85A) and there may be an LT54 which is completed by the Decision Maker and has their reasons for the award.
