Welcome to Benefits and Work If you are a single amputee then you will be assumed to be able to wear aids such as a prosthesis unless you can show that you cannot do this, your walking will then be determined by the distance that you can reliably walk on the majority of days with the aid.
If you are a double amputee then you should qualify for Descriptor (f) even if you can use prosthetics as the law requires a claimant to be able to place at least one biological foot on the ground.
