I have had my refusal as expected today. I will of course do the mandatory Reconsideration. So luckily I see my Consultant tomorrow, and know he will do me a letter to assist. What are the best points or notes that I can ask for him to address regarding PIP please? I am so disappointed at the letter of refusal which is too long to go into, however the nurse has twisted my words. He even says I was not stressed in the room? Why would I be? I have Seizures. Stress of sat in a Nurses room is not necessarily going to bring on a fit. He tells me I did not look tired. How can a stranger of one hour define if I look tired or not? I was not unkempt, would he really say so if I was? Diabolical, with no hesitation that he was indeed working to reduce the claim for PIP. As I understand it, my Carer now loses the Care Allowance? Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Any help greatly appreciated.
Your Consultant needs to concentrate on the PIP activities and why you would have problems completing them. There is a GP Notes document in the PIP section that may give them some structure to what is needed.
I'm afraid the CA is predicated on you having an eligible DLA or PIP award, so it will stop from the same day as your current award does.
The PIP Submissions document has a sample MR letter you can use and the APPeals guide explains the process.
