Early esa payment due 22nd, went in 21st? was created by IamShell
I know I may be being silly... I didn't even know payments were going to be made early. Anyhow, ESA was due 27th and went in 21st of this month. I looked online and several sites state payments due 26th or 27th will be paid on the 22nd (last working day before bank hols, apparently). Should I be worried it went in on the 21st?
Also, under the ESA credit there is a big long reference number, where there normally isn't one. I have horrible anxiety on top of a physical condition so I am aware I may be being ridiculous. I just don't want my next payment to be messed up and have to call them. Anything that deviates from the norm throws me!
Does this sound normal? I'm just worried it says the 22nd on sites, and they also says some benefits may be paid as much as five days early, but mine has been paid 6 days early...
Also, quick question for Gordon or another moderator: I think my subscription expires later this month. Will I receive an automatic email message to resubscribe? I think I did last year.
Thanks. And thank you to all those who run this site, and I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas.

There's no need for you to worry
Benefits are paid via a system called BACS which does the transfers from the DWP Bank Accounts to the claimants, all that has happened is that the transaction for your claim was processed before midnight rather than after and so has appeared earlier than you expected in your account.
As this was not a regular payment, due to it being early the code you usually see has been replaced by one specific to this payment.
Yes, you should receive an email closer to your subscription expiring.
