ESA uprated?

Hi,

I was under the impression that ESA income-related was frozen in 2016 however today I received a letter from the DWP stating that my ESA will increase to £127.15 per week from April 9th from £125.55. I know it isn't much but it was a pleasant surprise when I read the letter. I can't think why they might have uprated it other than the freeze has ended?

It wasn't ESA(IR) that was fixed but certain components. I am guessing that you are in the SG, so the SG rate was increased as was the Enhanced Disability Premium (Disability Income Guarantee).
