Blue Badge eligibility review

1. it is evident that Gordon knows the current limitations (8 mobility points or more) to automatically getting a blue badge
2 his advice was to apply to your local authority to get a blue badge for meeting criteria other than basing it on pip mobility.
3 I am sure Gordon is far too polite to say it, but please if your not going to appreciate the effort this guy goes to, in answering posters questions day in day out.....then by all means don't post again. Its not Gordon's attitude that sucks.

TJQ wrote: At my recent PIP appeal hearing I was awarded both Enhanced rate Care and Mobility. A total of 17 points in care and 14 in Mobility and yet I am still not eligible for a Blue Badge. I subsequently made some enquiries and discovered that currently there is a government consultation regarding proposed benefits to the scheme in the UK which would enable me to apply for a badge. If you are in a similar situation to myself I would urge you to respond to the consultation which you can do online at; www.gov.uk/government/consultations/blue...e-eligibility-review
The "proposed benefits" are for people residing in England only; Scotland and Wales have their own rules regarding the Blue Badge scheme. Annoyingly, England is lagging behind in this matter.
