Mandatory Reconsideration

Mandatory Reconsideration was created by Meakhin
I lodged a formal request for a Mandatory Reconsideration of my PIP Reassessment ( Daily Care , Standard Rate which was stopped on 6 Jan ), with the help of CAB who helped me submit a detailed written request on 23 Jan sent first class.

DWP have informed that this was logged on 30 Jan but is still with the Case worker and there is nothing on the system indicating any decision as yet.

My question is this : will my reconsideration be with a new DM or the one who made original decision, and could I literally be waiting months for them to decide ?

Also, medical evidence request by Atos was not received until after the medical assessment and they completed and forwarded their report without this and said DWP would have to request this so not sure if they will have done so.

Thanks,
Moraveen

The MR should be done a new, more senior Decision Maker.

If there was medical evidence that missed the assessment then it's likely that the DWP will refer it back to the ATOS (IAS) for their comment which would delay the process.

We quote 5-8 weeks for an MR on average so you are still within this period, I would check back with them weekly for an update.
