Urgent - Can anyone help me please - advice needed was created by smiggles
HI All,
I urgently need some help and advice - ideally privately as I am not that comfortable baring indepth details of my medical history and issues on a semi public forum.
I have a home assessment next week and am terrified as I have a complex set of medical issues which individually may qualify but together affect every part of my life and significantly affect both home life and mobility.
I am worried that as my medical issues include congenital heart disease, anxiety and depression, compressed discs in my neck with a trapped nerve root, and phonophobia / misophonia, - with the latter two being the most debilitating, how can they possibly send me an expert who knows or even understands the aspects of these issues when they are dealt with by completely different experts and I have already provided medical evidence from them all
Please help if you can - I don't want to mess it up.
thank you in advance
Sam

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

It's important to understand that the assessment is about your functional limitations and not your conditions and the assessors will have received DWP certified training to do this. I'm not suggesting that this is ideal, but you cannot assume that they do not have the skills to make a proper recommendation to the DWP.
Our PIP Claim has a section on the assessment and the questions you are likely to be asked.
