I have prepared a lengthy tribunal submission and have got various health professional letters. I'm appealing 8 activities as well as criticizing the ATOS report. It is just over 20 pages (one side of A4 paper).
I have been reading conflicting advice on the appeal submission on the web, some saying the submission should be short as possible, others saying you should explain your argument in detail. From your experience what is best? I'm afraid if its too short it will leave out important things / arguments, I'm afraid if its too long they wont read it.
Also from what I have read, some have suggested submitting it as early as possible, while others have said to submit only a few days before the Tribunal. I'm worried if I submit too early it might give the DWP a chance to try and sabotage my case or they'll send a lawyer to quiz me at the tribunal. I'm also worried if I post it too soon near the tribunal they wont be able to read it in time. However I've read of people submitting things on the day of tribunal.
Any advice from your experience would be much appreciated.

Dealing with the logistical issues first, you can submit information up to a couple of weeks before the hearing, the Tribunal Service need to have your papers no later seven days before.
The Panel are only issued the papers a couple of days before the hearing and in reality won't look at them until the night before.
The DWP have made their submission and will not comment on yours.
As to the submission itself. First, I would break your arguments for each activity across pages so each one starts on a new page, include an index to what you have included at the front of the pile. Lastly and most importantly, after the index, include a summary page with your basic reasons for appealing and then a sentence or two covering each activity, so that anyone reading it can see your basic arguments in one place.
