It shouldn't be necessary for an existing claimants, the meeting is to provide proof of your identity.

Ok, I see. As a family we are on tax credits and despite the problems in the past with them
in terms of people being overpaid etc, they seem more efficient in some ways than the DWP
so not looking forward to Universal Credit, especially as husband is self employed. But going bit off topic now.
