ESA benefit was created by Tony818
I have be placed in the contribution based ESA support group. (£110.75 per week) following MR. Having done a couple of benefit calculations, both show that I'm also entitled to additional payment based on the income related side of ESA plus disability payment. My assessment phase ended 15 Nov.2017 and have only received the basic £110.75 since. Should I have received these additional payments automatically or do I have to apply separately. Your advice would be helpful. thank you.

Did you tick the option for a Contribution only claim, if you did then this would explain why you are not receiving any Premiums.

Are you entitled to Income Related ESA. ESA(IR) is dependant on your household income, your savings and assets, and any hours that your partner works. See

Asset and savings rule for ESA(IR)

24 hour work rule for ESA(IR)

If you think that you are then contact the DWP office dealing with your claim and ask for an ESA3 form, this collects information about you financial status. It should be possible to back date this to at least when your SG award was made and possibly to when you claimed ESA.

thank you Gordon.
I spoke with the DWP this morning and was told that I am not entitled to both and that my wife would almost certainly lose her carers or income support. The £16.40 disability premium is only available if I was in the income related part of ESA.

Does your wife have an Income Support claim, if so then you are already part of her claim and cannot make a claim for ESA(IR) unless she closes her claim first.
