Physical exam, how much pressure should be used? was created by sweetpea
During my physical exam the HP used little or no pressure to test muscle strength. When I was sat on the bench she put her hand on my shin & asked me to lift my foot up. She didn't use any pressure at all. I'm sure I saw somewhere that the dwp guidelines state that 4 kg of pressure should be used but I have fibrofog atm & can't find the relevant info. Can someone help please?

Have a look at the DWP guidance for assessors in the PIP area, towards the bottom of the page.

I still can't find it. I'll have another look tomorrow.
