PIP Tribunal was created by Mama
Hi everyone. I have had my enhanced PIP reduced to standard mobility and have lost my mobility car, I sent the reconsideration appeal but now have to go to tribunal. Can anyone offer some good advice ,I have never had to do anything like this before and am very worried and rather scared of the scenario.

The PIP Appeal guide has links to the SSCS1 form that you will need to complete and the Submissions guide has a complete example that you can use to help you fill it in, you do not need to provide detailed reasons at this stage for your request.

Once your appeal is accepted the DWP will prepare their submission to the hearing and send you a copy, whilst you should wait until you receive this to finish and submit your own, you should start to prepare your own case, an increased award will only be made by your showing that you score the extra points for one, so I would start by going back through your PIP2, the assessment report and the PIP Claim guide to see how you might show this is the case.

You are probably looking at 6-9 months for a hearing, once your appeal is accepted, contact the venue they can give you a better idea of wait times.

If you have further questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.

Wow....didn't realise it was that long to wait for a tribunal! Strangely, I have now more medical reasons to qualify for Enhanced Mobility than when awarded to me 18months ago. I will definitely go through my paperwork..Thankyou for your advice

I'm afraid changes to your conditions that occurred since the Decision cannot be considered as part of the appeal, the panel can only look at your health as it was when the Decision was made.
