Unable to attend an appeal hearing due to agorapho

Hi all, following a mandatory reconsideration for PIP. I am appealing the mobility section outcome. I cannot attend an appeal due to agoraphobic symptoms of GAD. Even though I would prefer to put my side across face to face, I have had to choose a paper tribunal. I had a PIP initial assessment at my home and this was agreed based on the medical evidence I had sent in. I'm really after some advice from other members as to what to include in my appeal letter?

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

You can ask for a hearing by video link or even over the phone if you think it will help you present your case, contact the Clerk of the Court for your venue to see if these are options.

Have a look at our PIP Appeal guide and other documents

The criteria for PIP Mobility is very specific, you need to show that you meet it. You need to be able to do reliably and on the majority of days not to score.

If you have more specific questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
