Standard Mobility and car tax

I have been using a mobility scooter past few years and decided that a car will be more beneficial, I read somewhere that i will be able to claim a 50% discount on car tax, know its not the usual question but wondering if anyone knows if this is correct .

I am receipt of standard rate mobility

Insurance I sent downloaded policy
