PIP

Hi I had my PIP assessment interview on Wednesday 01/08/18. I was staggered by the fact that the person who assessed me was not able to read the word Dissociative and struggled to say it. I eventually told her what it said and again I was shocked as she never even knew what it meant. I have Dissociative Identity Disorder. There was no understanding at all what this disorder was and I felt that she just ignored me when I tried to explain about how when another personality takes over I may not be able to do some of the simplest task because of this I never cook because I accidentally left my gas on . Sadly she just couldn’t grasp the disorder.
Next after numerous question to which I became very confused and distressed she eventually wanted me to perform certain arm lifting and leg lifting exercising. I told her due to pain I was unable to do this. Her response was I had to do them as she has to Assess my movement for DWP basically it was not a choice. I still stood my ground and said due to being in pain I am unable to do those exercises. She then said she would have to put her hands underneath mine and I would need to apply pressure to her hands. I told her I do not like being touched she got quite annoyed and again tried to bully me into this. I said no. Why I am writing this is should I make a complaint in regard to poor and bullying attitude and the fact that she struggled reading the word Dissociative and needed me to say the word for her to then repeat. Along with her absolute lack of insight into my mental health issues and my physical disability Rheumatoid Arthritis.
