Any one had experience of receiving phone call AFTER having had PIP assessment of 1 hr 20 mins. Apparently the assessor has further questions. Are DWP supposed to do this ???

We don't see it very often but it has been reported before, I see it as a positive as it should mean that the assessor was doing their job properly.
PS - Assessors work for the Assessment Provider for your postcode, not the DWP.
