Timescale for PIP. was created by carolf345
Hi,I sent my PIP claim in and it was received by them on 17th July. Can anyone advise on the timescale ? I have not received anything back as yet.I was wondering how long it takes approximately if they need you to attend a consultation.I am rather worried about that in case I cannot attend on the day,and can you request a consultation to be in your own home.My daughter wants me to go away with her for a week if I’m well enough to do so but I’m scared in case they send an appointment for a day I could be away.I feel as if my life is on hold waiting for the brown envelope to drop on to the mat. Thanks so much.

We have seen a slow down in the process due to Summer holidays but I would still have expected you to have heard by now.

I would contact the Assessment Provider for your postcode for an update.

Carol,

My PIP review form was received by the DWP on 10th July 18 - Special Delivery signed for.

I received a text message from the DWP acknowledging the form on 5th September 18.

A letter with my appointment for a medical assessment was dated 30th September.

My face-to-face took place yesterday, 22 October, or just under 3.5 months since my form reached the DWP.

It seems that the time-scale varies considerably between regions.

Hope you hear soon.
