Hi Gordon,

Thanks for your help. Sorry to keep on about this- do you think that because this course is not part of a qualification and would not be eligible for any student funding that I should be able to take the course without letting the DWP/Maximus know or is it still dodgy?

Also I do have difficulty starting and finishing nearly every daily task so would expect a course to take me three times as long as it should do and I won't necessarily be able to finish assignments so this was more to see how well I'd manage with a limited course load (30 credits). However there are multiple other reasons why I might have qualified for the Support Group including being unable to go to normal places, do normal things (my life is very limited).

I can only repeat what I have already told you, you do not need to tell them you are starting this course.

Thank you!

Sorry one last question: is there any way of the DWP or Maximus/centre for Health assessments finding out without me telling them? Do the OU make contact with DWP? Do you DWP/Maximus contact OU at all?

Thanks.

No, it would be a breach of your privacy if the OU spoke to the DWP about you.
