Hi,I have a dreaded wca next Monday,I have requested an audio recording however I phoned the DWP yesterday to see if they have got the recording equipment and the receptionist told me they don't have my file yet and to ring them this Friday to see if they have.My question is what do u do when I turn up on Monday for the assessment and the recording equipment isn't available or as they often say it is 'broken' .Am I within my rights to turn down the assessment and request another one? Thanks in advance for any replies,Ann.
I'm afraid the DWP have said that they will not accept a failure to record the assessment as Good Reasons for filing to attend/participate. That said I am not aware of anybody having problems asking Maximus (it is not the DWP that deals with this), to arrange another appointment although I think they will treat it as one of your two opportunities to attend,
Gordon
