A couple of weeks ago I submitted my ESA50 & am awaiting the decision. Meanwhile, I've broken an ankle whilst staying with a friend a couple of hundred miles away from home. I don't know whether to tell the DWP or not. If I'm not summoned for a ftf assessment & remain in the support group they don't need to know do they? On the other hand, if I am called in for interview, or I tell them beforehand, I dread the possibility of having to complete another ESA50 & risk losing points because of a shorter term condition. Any suggestions anyone?
You won't have to complete a new ESA50, a broken ankle will be seen as temporary and would not actually score you points unless you cannot self-propel a manual wheelchair.
You can notify the DWP and Maximus by a short letter.
