MBE

This is a weird one......I have been told in confidence that I have been nominated for an award MBE or BEM that sort of thing in respect of the work I did when working. I am in receipt of PIP ( since I retired)....and to be honest I dont really want the government making enquries about me. I am aware that they check prospective people to see if they have a criminal record ( I don't !!),...but i wonder if they look into if you are on benefits ? If they do I will tell the person who nominated me to withdraw the nomination.

I can't see anything, that's been replied to, about the vetting process but I would be surprised if you being on benefits would be an issue.
