Hi I’ve had a text to say they have received my assessment back. The paramedic asked me if I go out alone and if I drive , I said I don’t go out alone and no longer drive as I get muddled up and anxious, I just wondered if this would lose me points for mobility as I can’t do these things anymore ? .
Your ability to drive is not considered for PIP Mobility. By saying you cannot go out alone you are assessing yourself as being Unable to Undertake a Journey, at best you would meet (e) of the Going Out activity with a maximum of 10 points, so if you were hoping for an Enhanced award then this will only happen if you also score for the Moving Around activity.

Thank you Gordon I don’t think I will have a problem getting points for moving around as I have MS and always use my stick or scooter. I walk with pain and only about 20 paces which was stated on my letter from my neurologist .
