Hi I’m new to this so please bare with me .. I was recently informed from DWP I had won an ESA appeal from 2011 & was awarded a substantial amount of backdated payments. However the letter says HMCTS have decided I’m not currently fit for work & I have been placed in the Work Related Activity Group, I actually don’t know what this means. I also don’t know if receiving this backdated payment will have restrictions on my ESA Allowance could some please assist me with some help! Thank You
The Work Related Activity Group is for claimants who are expected to make a return to work in the future, the DWP's words, not mine.
You will be asked to perform Work Related Activity, this must be consistent with your conditions. Some activities can be made mandatory and your benefit can be sanctioned if you fail to participate in these. You will also be asked to attend regular Work Focussed Interviews.
