Not even heard about PIP and ESA already after me was created by Niel
Hi, the DWP have got me worried again - don't know whether to phone them or ignore...
Earlier this year I had an ESA medical assessment and was kept in the Support Group. Then I was told my DLA was being stopped and I should apply for PIP. This I did and had the assessment three weeks ago. I've asked three times for a copy of the assessor's report but as yet have heard nothing.
Now this morning, despite my PIP not even having been decided (so far as I know) I've had a text out of the blue: "We need to talk to you about your ESA claim. Please call us straightaway on 0800 169 0310 to complete IS10 form."
I've only recently had my ESA claim settled, surely they are not re-visiting it already? Can't face any more assessments. I've not called them as I don't want to hear it if it's bad news. Anyone any idea what might be happening? I guess if I ignore it I'll get a letter in due course, should I just wait for that?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

It's not anything for you to worry about, an IS10 form is required when looking at the payment of the Severe Disability Premium as part of your ESA, this would be an extra £65 a week if you are eligible.
Payment of SDP is dependant on your receiving an enabling benefit such DLA MRC or HRC or PIP Daily Living, that you live alone or considered to be living alone and that no one claims Carers Allowance against the DLA or PIP.

That was a relief thanks. Phoned them and you were right, they were inviting me to apply for the premium based on fact I had been awarded PIP, which I hadn't even known about! They texted me before I'd even been notified I'd got PIP - only found out when I called them
