Just out of interest now we have the new GDPR rules and regs
What's the legal position if you record the interview and want to use as evidence?

I remember a while back there was a debate about this very thing without the GDPR bit .
At the moment im a fast writer!!! but any future f2f's it may be better to record the session with the assessors permission and give them a copy which I think was the procedure back in the day?

This would of course make the whole procedure more transparent for both parties!
Thanks for your thoughts on this subject

I'm afraid I don't see why GPDR would be relevant to a recording of an assessment, it's about the individuals right to access information and the responsibility of the organisation holding that information to protect it.

You can already record any assessment and it is a requirement of your doing so that you provide a copy of the recording to the assessor.

Next time I think that then will be a prudent move!
