Just had UC award following assessment and been told that because I had gone over the 13 weeks before I got my medical (which was down to them) I get no backdate. Is this correct please? Spoke to an abrupt woman at UC who told me to speak to my MP if not happy. Thanks for any advice.
It sounds as if it has been badly explained, the LCWRA component is not payable for the first three payment periods following a Fit Note being presented, it can actually be slightly longer depending on the actual dates involved, but you should be paid from the first payment period following the Decision.
