I've been reading your very useful 96 page pip guide, and there's a part in the "going out" section that reads :-
In CPIP/1599/2016, the Upper Tribunal held that claimants do not have to show that they would be at risk ‘more often than not’ in order to reasonably require supervision when carrying out an activity.
So, if you need someone with you when walking outdoors because you have epilepsy, for example, and may need assistance if you have a seizure, then we would argue you should score 12 points for this activity.
This should be the case even if you have seizures only rarely, if they are potentially very serious.
I suffer with Epilepsy and I'm taking five different anti epileptic drugs. The seizures are mainly nocturnal ones but I do have the odd one in the day, perhaps once or twice a year. Would you class this then as "rarely" and if the seizures were a grand mal type, where I'd lose consciousness and fall to the ground, would this help me score points.
