I recently had my esa re assessment and pip renewal which both happened just weeks apart. Esa I heard back from within about 6 weeks and they had choose to keep me in the esa support group. My pip however I have failed it losing both mobility and daily living, however since my last assessment with pip my medication for my bipolar and mixed anxiety and social phobia has gone UP since the last time they saw me. My mother accompanied me to my PIP assessment and explained I can know longer go anywhere alone and suffer with intrusive thoughts and often do not leave the house or bedroom for days in end. I even had a letter from my gp to back this up yet still failed?
My points are I had less evidence and was on a lower medication dosage at my first assessment so I cannot believe this. I want to apply for a mandatory reconsideration but I don’t know what else I can put into writing or get my gp to write to support this?
any advice is appreciated!

Which form did you complete for the PIP reassessment; another PIP2 or an AR1 Review form?
If the latter what did you say on the form? No change or did you explain your current problems in detail?
The first stage to challenging a Decision is for you to request a Mandatory Reconsideration, this needs to be done in writing to the DWP, within one month of the Decision, to the office that dealt with your claim, have a look at our PIP MR & Appeal guide for details of the process, the PIP area also has template letters that you can use to make the request with.

You should contact the DWP for a copy of the assessment report if you have not already done so, I would phone them but again follow up the request in writing. Once you have the assessment report you will have a better understanding of how the DWP Decision Maker has come to their conclusions and will then be able to argue against them.
Your primary task is to show that you meet the criteria, there are many reasons you may have failed, you need to address each of these but don't get bogged down in criticising the assessment report unless you can clearly show that it is incorrect, it is a lot easier to argue the facts of the situation;
"the assessor recorded that I walked 50m, I did but they have failed to document that I had to stop every 10m for a rest due to breathlessness"
than their opinions
"based on my observations of the claimant walking I believe that they can reliably walk more than 200m.
When you have a better idea of the issues with your claim, come back to the forum and we will do our best to help.

I scored 6 points in the daily living component and failed mobility. Before I was on standard daily living and standard mobility. The HP scored me 2 for prompting to prepare/cook a meal, 2 for washing and bathing and 2 for managing toilet needs/incontinence,
I do have incontinence issues, but my mental health issues and social phobia/anxiety go back way further.
My main issues are engaging with people, not going anywhere alone (needing to be accompanied) my medication has gone up, I was accompanied to my assessment by my mother who explained and backed this up, my gp also wrote a letter and explained about my mental health and social anxiety etc yet this was still over looked.
I filled out the Pip review form back in November and had my assessment in April 19. Any advice on the MR? As I scored 6 points is it likely that scoring just a few extra points I can get my standard daily living back?

Go back to basics and review what you wrote on the form, the assessment report and our PIP Claim guide to see if you have shown that you meet the legally defined Descriptors and why the assessor thinks that you don't.
What did you score for Engaging with other people face to face last time?
What did you score for Mobility last time and for what Descriptors?

I’m not sure what I scored last time as I was never sent the full report out, just the standard letter saying I was on the standard rate for both daily living and mobility. I probably won’t be able to find out now, especially in time for the MR to be sent back in.
