I will receive state pension in January 2020, I have been in receipt of both higher rates of DLA/PIP for 15 years. My PIP ends in October 2020 because I am in receipt of it when I reach pension age will I still be reviewed as normal in October 2020 or does it stop? Bearing in mind this is not a new claim.
At the moment it will be reassessed, you can receive PIP after reaching State Retirement Age as long as the award is made before reaching SRA. The government have announced changes to the operation of PIP once the claimant reaches SRA and it is possible that your award will be converted to an On-Going one, we're waiting to hear what will happen to existing PIP claimants.
