Of course, when I phoned IAS to question my appointment, they said all the DWP had told them was that I needed an afternoon appointment. I said I had written on my form I could only attend after 2pm, but they said they could only rearrange the appointment using my one alloted rearrangement.

I said I would have to go back to the DWP on this, and they offered to transfer my call. However, the agent magically came back on the line after about 10 minutes on hold, to say that her manager had looked up my PIP form, and could see the details of my appointment availability.

They have now supposedly rearranged the appointment without fault to me, and made a note on my file to this effect. However, the new appointment letter makes no reference to this, and effectively says that I have had my one allowed rearrangement.

I have written to IAS and the DWP to make note of what happened.

I was wondering if you would be able to give me any advice about the physical part of the medical, please. My max walking distance is about 10m, and I will be attending in a wheelchair. Will I be asked to walk? Is it reasonable of me to ask not to have to? I have ME, and with the effort of travelling, sitting, talking etc. I don't feel I should have to be a performing monkey and exhaust myself even further and risk greater after effects. Will they carry out other physical checks?
