ESA Home Visit was created by Julie Calvert
Hi can anyone offer any advise please? I had to cancel my home visit for ESA medical due to a sickness bug. I’ve now got my second appointment but my daughter who I need to be there is on holiday on the date. I can’t see the assessor on my own due to anxiety, panic disorder, agoraphobia, social anxiety and depression and I have no one else to be with me. Will I get my benefit stopped? Thank you.

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

You must attend this second appointment or your file will be returned to the DWP and it is likely that your claim will be closed.

Is there really no one who can go with you?

The only thing that I can suggest is that you ask to have the assessment recorded, this usually requires the existing appointment to be re-booked at no fault to the claimant, there is a template letter in the ESA Claim guides you can use.

Hopefully, a new appointment will be for when your daughter is available.
