Hi could someone please help me? I’m on part 1. How far can you move safely, It just gives me four options: 50 meters, 100 meters, 200 metres and it varies. I’ve been housebound for 7 years and only just trying to get out in the garden which is only for few minutes at time. What should i do explain in the box underneath that i can’t walk any of the distances and why. Will they send it back because i didn’t tick one of the options? It has to be back to them by 10th July any help i would really appreciate it thanks
If you don't think that the tick boxes allow you to explain your problems easily then you can cross them out and mark them "see below" or "see attached". You must still answer the question.
Be aware, ESA is not a walking test, it is a Mobility test! In addition to your walking, it considers your ability to self-propel a manual wheelchair over the same distances, you do not need to be using a wheelchair or even to own one for it to be considered. SO even if you can show your walking is restricted unless you can also show that you cannot self-propel the wheelchair you will still not score points.
