Mandatory Reconsideration advice please. was created by Tracy Fairchild
Please can someone give me some advice. Following my Husband's Face to Face Assessment, and the receipt of the Assessment, it seems that he will have to go for a Mandatory Reconsideration. He has not received his decision as yet. However, one thing that we are not sure of, if they accept what the Assessor put, and for instance my husband is awarded standard care when we believe it should be High Care for instance, and he goes for a Mandatory Reconsideration, does all the money stop until a decision is reached by the person doing the Reconsideration or do they award you what they believe you should get until they have looked at it again? Any help would be most gratefully received. Kind regards Tramelia.

The DWP usually follow the recommendation of the assessor but you will need to wait for the Decision.

If you request an MR then any PIP award will be paid while the Decision is looked at again.
