Hi. I’m in the middle of a dla renewal for my son. I called to see if there was any update as it runs out he end of August and they said they have written to the gp and are waiting to hear back! Is this normal procedures writing to the gp?

Hi Jen

They don't often write to the GP, but when they do it tends to be because they want more information or wish to clarify something about a claimant's medical condition.
