I can barely believe this, as we are still in the thick of PIP (had assessment almost three weeks ago) yet today my hubby received a letter informing him he must complete the Capability for Work Questionnaire. The ESA50.
The letter doesn’t mention migration to UC.
In 2012 he was assessed by ATOS and awarded indefinite ESA (support group). He has Parkinson’s for the love of god.
Any idea why the DWP have sent this?
My husband has already become worse due to the PIP process. I spoke to his nurse on Monday and she did warn us that extreme stress such as this can hasten the progression of his disease. I’m seriously worried about him and am desperately concerned that this ESA is going to affect him gravely. I’ve had to be put on meds to cope with the stress of caring and dealing with this.
I do have the members guides and have started to read them but this can’t be right.
I'm afraid ESA reviews come around within one, two or three years and there are a large number of people who find the reviews of ESA and PIP colliding. There is nothing that you can do, but fill in the form and hope they do a paper-based review.
