Carer's allowance

Hi all, my wife currently works part time, 13.5 hours per week but she is thinking of reducing her hours so that she will qualify for carer's allowance as she cares for me every day and i am in receipt of higher rate PIP care and mobility. would i have to go through an assessment again like the PIP interview or would my wife just apply for this benefit and it is based on how much she earns? any help would be welcome.

Providing she can provide the 35 hours a week of care and her earnings do not exceed the limits then she can claim CA, her doing so should not result in your PIP claim being reassessed.
