Hi Moderators, As I said in my above post I received a text just after Christmas from the DWP saying that they had received my written assessment and would let me know the decision within 6 weeks I have now received a letter dated 20th January saying that they have all the information to make a decision (not giving any time period for the decision). What is the difference between the text and letter? My Support Worker has told me that the assessor contacted her in mid December for more information. I requested a copy by letter of the written report 2 weeks ago and haven't received it yet. Is there a hold up in the post? I am fed up and very anxious with the whole process as it has been nearly 6 months since I received the original invitation letter. How much longer is it likely to take? My ESA was reviewed a year ago (again without a face to face) and I received the decision 6 weeks later..
The text was telling you that they had received your report. The letter is a standard one that all claimants receive - saying that they now have all the information to make a decision. You know that they contacted your support worker - so up to that point they felt they didn't have quite enough information - now they do.
I can't tell you whether there are delays in sending information out. Times vary so much for different people. I know you are fed up and you have a right to be. You are not alone. Some members have had to wait a great deal longer.
