Thanks you for help on this:
On listening to JVine R2 last Friday there was an item on Disability mainly PIP
and a lady range in and said when she went to assessment, the "Med Professional" asked the lady:
Where did she park?
How far did she park from centre/office?

Is there available an exact or very close list as to the questions that are asked by medical professionals, please? I bevel on the guides it gives and idea,
however is there an exact guide to view or link to?:
as then a med professional for PIP(& maybe ESA rang in) she sid at least 3 times she was a Med. P. however never once said what her qualification was at at all which I though was strange. I believe a no. of "Med P's" are : paramedics.
My view is that such would not be fully qualified to assess long term chronic conditions/
fluctuation ones and such like for over the long term.

The Med P. on programme also said to JV we have a set of questions to ask given to us from the DWP. I would imagine the lady was calling in in defence to the many callers of I think all or most had trouble with their reassessments including an amputee.

Many thanks Apples6

Hi apples6

In the PIP guide (starting at Page 77) here is a list of questions of the type that people are asked. The questions are based on the PIP criteria. People are not all asked the same questions because it depends on what you put on your form and the evidence provided. So people who have home visits are not asked for obvious reasons about how they reached the assessment. Yes, people who travel to assessment centres are always asked about how they got there because it helps them to judge the mobility criteria. The assessor sometimes throws in what appears to be a completely unrelated question.

There are a range of medical professionals used who the DWP say are trained to carry out the assessments. That is the system.
