Pip tribunal appeal and ESA renewal was created by darkchild101
I downloaded the form online and filled it in. DWP wrote to me acknowledging receipt of the appeal and advise they are now writing to DWP. Will they send me a form so I write more information or that's it?
I have requested an appeal based on evidence not a face to a face. Roughly how long should I expect to wait
Also my ESA is due to run out in January. When can I expect to renew it and will I go through another assesment or what? I am in the support group
Thanks

No, the Tribunal Service won't send you a form it is down to you to format your testimony and evidence for the hearing.
The next action if for the DWP to send their submission for the appeal, you will receive a copy of this and as you have requested a Paper hearing you will have one month from the date of the letter that accompanies this information for the TS to receive any papers that you want the Tribunal panel to consider.
The DWP may choose to assess you in January but your ESA does not run out then, ESA is an indefinite award and your current award can only be removed following an assessment and a new Decision.
If the DWP do choose to reassess you then I would expect you to receive a new ESA50 at the end of December.

Thank you Gordon. So they definitely won't make a decision before sending me the DWPs response and I have had a chance to read it and sent my submission?

Hi Thabo
As Gordon says the Tribunal Service will send you a copy of the DWP's submission and you will have the chance to read it and respond before the panel makes a decision.
